About Us

The specialists you can trust

The psychotherapist often provides relief, which comes from the fact that you have a comfortable and safe space to speak, receive validation, and be heard.

CabinetFamilyPsy helps patients live a happier, healthier and more connected life by focusing on their body and mind. We believe that at some point in our lives, most of us feel misunderstood, isolated, disconnected, or in poor physical health, and their treatment can be left behind, sometimes because of the speed with which things happen, in the background.

A visit to the family doctor is beneficial, because he knows the particularities of the age group, but also the individual ones. Unlike other specialist doctors, the family doctor relates to his patients for longer periods of time and gets to know them very well. Consequently, the medical act is positively influenced by the frequency of consultations, especially in the case of children or chronically ill people.

What do you need to know about choosing a Family Doctor?

The family doctor is the one who provides primary and continuous medical care through diagnostic, treatment, preventive, educational and therapeutic services to maintain, restore and monitor the patient's health. The family doctor coordinates the medical services that the patient benefits from, directing the patient to specialized controls or interventions when necessary. Provides curative and preventive medicine activities, home care services, palliative care, counseling and monitoring.

A large study conducted by the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that the main characteristic that people look for in the family doctor is the confidence and the possibility to open up to them with any problem and to speak openly. The main factors in choosing the family doctor observed after the study were: the doctor's ability to listen and provide the necessary care to the patient, followed by competence, level of care, relationship with patients, time spent with them, availability, attention to detail, preparation professional and experience. Thus, first of all, the doctor must denote empathy, availability, seriousness, promptness, respect and involvement. Effective communication is the key to a good doctor-patient relationship.

Before enrolling in another family doctor, identify the main qualities you are looking for in the family doctor and make a list of some possible doctors, from the recommendations of relatives or friends, but also from online recommendations. Find out about them, especially about training, skills, training courses, specializations, recommendations from other patients, and experience.

When choosing a family doctor, you need to consider a number of things, such as:
Professional training and experience, training courses, certain skills acquired, specialized trainings, professional interests, therapeutic approach, etc.
Availability - some doctors may have a large number of insured persons, so visits and consultations will be scheduled very late. Also, make sure that your GP accepts new patients. Check working hours and whether they fit into your daily schedule. Also check for home visits and how you can contact your doctor outside of business hours. Also analyze the waiting time before an appointment, following the recommendations of other patients. Choose a doctor who manages time correctly and whose office respects the time allotted for each consultation.
Location - your location should be easily accessible.
Gender - women may feel more comfortable with a female doctor, while men may feel more comfortable with a male doctor, which is why it is good to take this factor into account.
Check to see if he or she is affiliated or collaborating with certain testing labs, other practices, doctors, or hospitals, and whether there are testing labs near the practice.

Once you have chosen a doctor, you can call the clinic or office for more details and to make an appointment for a discussion with your doctor. After the first visit to the family doctor, it can be determined if there is a compatibility between you and the doctor in terms of communication, if you feel that you can talk openly with the doctor about what worries you, what are the therapeutic approaches, etc.

After a visit to the office you can get an opinion on the compatibility between your doctor and you and on other issues such as:
Comfort around the doctor and communication with the doctor - it is essential that the family doctor makes you feel at home, that you can communicate openly and effectively about any problem. He must be honest and direct, but empathetic and careful. A first consultation proves this doctor-patient compatibility, you can see if: the doctor interrupts you when you speak, if he answers your questions completely, if he seems hurried or gives you due attention, discusses the medical history in detail, etc. Choose a doctor with whom you can communicate effectively and openly and who is passionate about what he or she is doing.
Adjacent staff - here we are talking about nurses or receptionists, because you will also interact with them, they will send messages to the doctor, they will answer the phone and they will make the appointments. They must be efficient, respectful and attentive. You can give a sample call at the front desk to get an idea of how to approach it and how serious it is.

Choose a family doctor and make sure he has a contract with the Health Insurance House. Apply and prove that you are insured or exempt from insurance.

Proof is made, as the case may be, by an employee certificate, pension certificate, unemployment certificate or a certificate that you are a student. If this is your first time signing up, you must provide an affidavit stating that you are not registered with another firm. You still need a copy of your ID card.

For preschoolers, a copy of the birth certificate, the parent's identity card and a signed application are required.

If you want to enroll in a doctor from another county than the one where you live or work, your employer must send the list of names to the county insurance company where the future doctor's office is located. In addition, you must provide proof of payment of the contribution to the insurance company in that county.

You have the right to change your family doctor, but only after six months from the date of enrollment. Once the new doctor accepts you, submit the documents listed above and you must communicate the name of the former doctor to whom you were enrolled.
